How to enter electricity and heat supplements from BE18

Purpose

Include energy supplements that can’t be read directly from BE18 key figures, but require a calculation.

Prerequisites

You have access to the project’s BE18 energy frame calculation.

Steps

1. Run the energy frame calculation twice in BE18: once with the supplement-triggering conditions, once without.
2. Calculate the difference between the two results, split into electricity and heat.
3. Go to Building and operation, under Energy consumption in operation, and enter the differences under Supplement.

Result

The supplements are automatically subtracted during calculation, but only if the consumption you’ve entered comes from the energy frame calculation with the supplement-triggering conditions. Both the increased and the applicable environmental impact then appear in the results.

If you mix the sources (e.g. enter consumption from the calculation without supplements, but fill in the supplement fields anyway), the result becomes wrong in both directions.
