Demolition, delayed start and renovation: which function should you use?
LCAbyg has several settings that resemble each other but do something different to how a building product is calculated in the building model. If the wrong one is chosen, the result can be wrong without it being obvious in the calculation.

“Reused” zeroes everything
Section titled ““Reused” zeroes everything”The “Reused” flag on a building product is not a marker that the building product forms part of a renovation project. It zeroes the building product’s full environmental impact, in all modules. The mass stays, so the building product is still documented and counts in the mass inventory. It is therefore a different function from the project type “Renovation”, which is set on the project itself and does not affect any individual building product. A user who thinks “this is a renovation project, so I’ll set Reused on everything” thereby zeroes their entire model.
