How to handle special conditions
Purpose
Section titled “Purpose”Register conditions that don’t fit into the regular building model, e.g. special installation conditions.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”You’re on Special conditions.
- Find the relevant category: Building elements, Installations, or Structural.
- Find the building-element group the condition belongs to (the same groups as in the building model).
- Fill in the group’s fields, typically Area and Documentation.
- Under Building structure: tick Apply for the constructions/building products in the material tree affected by the condition. If a particular quantity should be overridden instead of using the quantity found in the building model, enter it under Override.
Result
Section titled “Result”The condition is included in the calculation along with the rest of the building model.
Special conditions is only active for calculation modes BR18 (2023) and BR18 (2025). In other calculation modes the page is not relevant.
Some groups are locked for the selected calculation mode: change calculation mode if the field you need isn’t editable.
Only constructions and building products measured in m² can be attached to an m²-based group. If a line is measured in another unit, its Apply checkbox is disabled, and a visible (?) icon next to the checkbox shows the explanation. To include it, the line first has to be measured in m² in the building model.
