How to publish a library, and what draft means
Purpose
Section titled “Purpose”Make a library visible to the people it’s made for, instead of just yourself.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”You have edit access to the library (organization owner for organization libraries).
- Open the library, and go to its Settings.
- Under Calculation modes: tick at least one mode (e.g. BR18 (2025)). The library can only be used by projects running in one of the chosen modes, and a library with no mode at all never shows up in projects’ library picker, even when it is published.
- Under Publication: tick the checkbox Published (visible to users with access).
- Click Save.
What draft means
Section titled “What draft means”A library in draft status is hidden from everyone, including yourself and the rest of the
organization’s own members, if it’s an organization library. IsPublished is the entire
visibility gate; PublishedAt is metadata only and doesn’t control visibility itself.
A user who “can’t find” a library most likely sees an unpublished library, not a bug. Check the publish status, and that the library has a calculation mode matching the project, before troubleshooting further.
Result
Section titled “Result”The library becomes visible to everyone with access to it (the whole organization for organization libraries, or every user for official libraries).
