Icons and colours

LCAbyg reuses the same icons across its pages, and the colour of an icon usually carries its own meaning. This page collects the icons tab by tab. Several icons appear in more than one colour, and each colour is explained where the icon is used.

The icons in the tables here are the ones the app draws. A neutral (dark) colour in the Icon column just means “this is the shape”; where the colour has a meaning, the icon is shown in that colour.

The colour code recurs throughout the app. The same icon changes colour with the state instead of being swapped for a different icon.

ColourMeansTypical places
GreenNormal state (your own project content, active, not locked) and “in order” (limit value met, confirmed, synchronised with the library)Node icons in the building model, the navigation, key figures
Grey (muted)Inactive, deactivated, empty or “no data”Empty categories, deselected rows, missing figures
RedError or block: limit value exceeded, broken library link, EPD withdrawn, deleteCalculation errors, limit-value status, library status
AmberWarning: newer version exists, unknown version, service life out of range, content from the gen_dk libraryLibrary status, the service-life column, benchmark
OrangeData differs from the library version the item is locked toLibrary status in the tree and on consumption lines
VioletThe library is not enabled for the project’s calculation modeLibrary status in the tree and on consumption lines
PurpleLibrary content from a source other than gen_dk, or a personal libraryNode icons in the building model, the library overview
BlueMarker for an official libraryThe library overview

If an icon is faded and grey, the function is not active right now.

IconMeaning
Edit the field (e.g. project name)
Version, and switching between versions
Version history
The project’s address
Create a new version
/ Import and export of a version
Copy as a new version
Delete version
Change in result between versions
IconMeaning
The key figure meets the limit value
The key figure exceeds the limit value
Add row (usage, energy entry, standard installation)
Remove row
Missing or incomplete data in the table

If the key figure has no colour (grey), there is not yet enough data to decide whether the limit value is met.

The building model is the page with the most icons. The tree on the left shows the building’s constructions and building products, and each row can carry a node icon, one or more status icons and a marker for service life.

The icon at the front of the row tells you what the row is.

IconNode
The building (the root of the tree)
Category in the classification
Empty category (dimmed green): no classified constructions below it
Building-part group
Category carried by a standard value for technical installations
Construction
Building product
Building product without a classification

Colour on constructions and building products

Section titled “Colour on constructions and building products”

The block stack and the square change colour according to where the item comes from:

IconColourMeans
GreenYour own item: created in the project, not locked to a library
AmberInserted from the gen_dk library (generic Danish reference data)
PurpleInserted from another library (official, organisation or personal)

The same colour logic is used on the large node icon at the top of the detail panel on the right.

The status icons sit after the name and are buttons: clicking opens the compare window with the right view. A row without status icons is synchronised with the library. The same icons appear on consumption lines in Transport and Construction site.

IconColourMeans
RedBroken library link: the item points to a library that cannot be found
VioletThe library is not enabled for the project’s calculation mode
AmberUnknown library version: click to compare
OrangeData differs from the library version the item is locked to
AmberA newer library version is available: click to update
RedEPD withdrawn by the provider
RedCalculation error on the row: click to see and copy the reasons
GreenThe row is part of a special condition: clicking jumps to Special Conditions

Shown only when Service lives is enabled in the View menu.

IconColourMeans
AmberThe service life is outside the expected range for the item
RedThe service life is invalid, and replacement (B4) is left out of the calculation

A row that is deselected from the calculation (the Include in calculation check box turned off) is shown struck through in red, in italics and dimmed. The entire subtree below a deselected category or construction is shown struck through.

IconMeaning

The View menu: a number on the button shows how many display options are enabled

The page is under development. The icon in the project menu leads here.
